Cory Kallen is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth
University in Richmond, VA, where she earned a Bachelor of
Science in Social Work. After graduation, she began a
lengthy career in insurance and healthcare. She began her
business in 2003, providing Daily Money Management and
Professional Organizing services. She is a member of the
American Association of Daily Money Managers and the
National Association of Professional Organizers.
Earlier in her career, Cory was an administrator and
manager. She developed valuable skills and knowledge, much
of which she’s able to apply in her current work. Over 25
years, she assisted people from all walks of life resolve
a variety of problems and answer a number of questions.
Her work with seniors began in the 1980’s. In the early
1990’s, Cory’s mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s
disease. Over time, she provided assistance managing all
of her mother's affairs, including banking, business and
legal matters. As a direct result of her work as a
caregiver, in 2001, Cory decided to change careers to one
where she’s involved, one on one with people.
Cory has been actively involved with the Alzheimer’s
Association of the National Capital Area for the past
eight
years, and for the past three years, she’s been a Caregiver
Support Group Leader. She encourages you to contact her if you
have any questions about the care-giving process.
She is also active with the
Grass Roots Organization of
the Well-Being of Seniors (GROWS); and the
Secure the Call program,
which collects and distributes telephones for emergency
use.
